Built in around 1840, the house was originally a country retreat. It was refurbished in the early 1900s, adding  Edwardian features, such as bay windows, butler cupboards and light fittings that still exist today.

The period features throughout the house give the rooms a genuine, welcoming feel, which is matched with family antiques and suitable soft furnishings.

Many of the rooms downstairs have original terracotta-tiled floors, some have coving and impressive fire surrounds, while the front hall has a polished oak floor.

There are three main reception rooms available for corporate hire, with a choice of boardroom-style, theatre or reception format.

There are eight bedrooms upstairs - spacious and light with views over the garden and Vale. There are 38 rooms all together, including a movie room and wine cellar in the basement.
